In Africans Rooibos means "red bush". And that is exactly what it is, so technically it is not a tea at all, but a tisane or herbal tea. Meaning there is no caffeine, putting it in the same category as mint or chamomile. Which is a shame because there are quite a few differences between chamomile and Rooibos. Rooibos has a full bodied flavor that is strong enough to be blended with milk, (try mixing the Rooibos Chai with Vanilla creamer). Making it more similar to the taste of a black tea. After adding milk to chamomile tea, all you end up with is warm milk.
