Of course using fresh brewed loose-leaf teas are the best way to get all the wonderful health benefits green tea has to offer. Ever wonder what makes green tea so special. Well here's how it's made. All three non-herbal teas black, green and oolong all come from the same plant, camellia sinensis. The difference lies in the processing. Green tea leaves are heated or fried immediately after picking and rolling minimizing the amount of processing and leaving the tea more pure and with less caffeine than black tea. Camellia sinensis is very rich in antioxidants called polyphenols, which can protect against disease and may help to explain why tea drinkers tend to be healthier.
